Next Chapter Senior Services began in 2015 after helping our own parents transition from their large family homes into smaller, more manageable residences, closer to their family and friends.
It became apparent, that the sheer volume of work involved in downsizing years of memories and mementos would require multiple skilled services. These services began with the selection of the new residences and included sorting, packing, moving, and set up at the new location. All these details were creating a great deal of distress for their parents, so they rallied the troops and stepped in to help.
During the transition, our founders had an “AH-HA” moment in which they realized they had finally found their passion, “Transitional Move Management”. They loved the adventure of scouting out the new residences and relished the time spent sharing memories, as they helped to pack up items to relocate to the new home or to be released (by sale or donation) to lucky new recipients.
They discovered a wonderful sense of accomplishment in providing compassionate, caring, cost-effective home transition services. The reduced stress and ease of lifestyle that they witnessed once the move was complete sealed their fate and Next Chapter Senior Services was born.
Next Chapter Senior Services was originally Co-Founded by Cheryl Blaney & Dawn Robertson; close friends for over 40 years. In 2020, Dawn left Next Chapter to pursue a new career as a sole entrepreneur. We are proud of Dawn and grateful for the many years of hard work and collaboration that she has so generously shared with us.
